A judge's March 11 decision to strike down New York City's ban on the sale of large sugary drinks elicited cheers from two groups that had joined in a lawsuit opposing the ordinance. The American Beverage Association and the National Restaurant Association were among the parties that sued the city last year after it adopted a ban on sweetened beverages of more than 16 ounces.
